Exciting 2025 Children's Classes at Cider Hill Farm!

Spring and summer are just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to bring back our favorite children’s programs, along with some exciting new experiences for families. Our hands-on, educational, and fun-filled classes are designed to engage kids of all ages. Check out our lineup and get ready for a fruit-filled season at the farm!


$10 Family Yoga with Relief

Join Krista Maltais, a Childlight Yoga Certified Instructor and owner of Relief Parenting in Hampton, NH, for a relaxing and playful 45-minute yoga session. Designed for ages 3-6, but all ages are welcome! Classes are $10 per family, and registration is required.


Class Dates: May 24, June 14, July 19, August 23, September 13 & November 1 (indoors).


 

At the Farm Table: Kid’s Cooking Classes

Kids (grades K-3) will learn to make dishes from scratch while building kitchen skills and an appreciation for fresh food. Each ticket includes admission for one child and one adult. Tickets are $18, with partial funding generously provided by the Charles E. Larner Family Foundation.


Limited spots available! Registration is open for April (spinach), May (scallions), June (strawberries - SOLD OUT), and July (blueberries) sessions. August - October coming soon!


 

Free Monthly Story Time with Amesbury Public Library

Join our friends from the Amesbury Public Library on the second Tuesday of each month for a delightful story time inspired by farming and the season’s harvest. Held under the picnic tent near the barnyard, this event happens rain or shine. + Special June 17 story time will feature bees, bats, and butterflies in celebration of our Pollinator Festival!



 

Thursday Discovery STEAM Days

Led by local educator and mom Janelle King, these 45-minute summer classes allow young explorers to investigate a different farm-related topic each week. Choose from the 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM session. 💡 We’ve added a special Build a Butterfly Garden class Sunday, 6/22 for our Pollinator Festival!

$10 Music with Miss Alicia

Sing, dance, and make music on the farm with local instructor Alicia Catalano! This 30-minute class is designed for ages 6 months - 9 years, with instruments provided. Bring a mat or blanket and meet us on the lawn near Blueberry Field 1 (or the picnic tent if it rains). Registration required.


Available on select Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Friday afternoons from May - October.


 

June 19 Kid’s Cookie Decorating Class

🍓 Calling all budding artists! Join award-winning cookie artist Renee Terry for a berry sweet strawberry-themed cookie decorating class. Kids will learn how to decorate three beautifully designed cookies in this hands-on experience. Space is limited, and tickets are $30.



 

Roll Honeycomb Candles, Pollinator Masks & Meet the Beekeepers

Under the picnic tent! Join Essex County Beekeepers Association (ECBA) on June 21, 2025 as part of our Pollinator Festival to learn about beehives and roll a bee's wax candle to take home. Make sure to stop at the pollinator mask table for a DYI butterfly or bee mask. Free. While supplies last.



 

Join Judy McAmis from Yoga to Farms (Y2F) of Georgetown for family-friendly yoga and sound healing meditation. Tickets sold through Y2F. Singles and Family Ticket options, starting at $6.


 

Farm Tots: Lettuce Grow Program

Designed for children ages 3.5-8, this free, 40-minute program guides families on a short farm hike and teaches kids how to plant, care for, and harvest vegetables throughout the season.


📅 Class Schedule: Every Wednesday from April 23 - September 24 at 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM.


📅 Registration Opens:

  • April & May sessions open on March 26 at 10 AM here

  • Registration for future months opens on the 1st of each month. (For example, June registration opens May 1.)

The barnyard and play areas are open daily 8 am - 6 pm. Closed Easter and Memorial Day. Free except bring quarters to feed the chickens.
