Throughout November, Cider Hill Farm likes to thank all of our visitors by hosting several events, just in time for the Thanksgiving season!
Free Self-Guided Fall Orchard Walk
This November, bundle up and gather your friends and family to get outside amongst Cider Hill Farm’s 10,000 fruit trees. Enjoy the crisp fall air and take in views of historic Amesbury as you walk through the 145-acre farm property. Open Saturdays and Sundays 8 am - 2 pm beginning Saturday, November 2 through Sunday, November 30. Free. No registration is required. Closed weekdays. Pop into the farm store to warm up with hot cider and donuts. Look at our events throughout the months by checking out our event page.
Free Hard Cider Tastings
On Friday, November 15, 2024, from 4 pm - 6 pm, join Cider Hill Farm for their monthly hard cider tastings. Participants will be able to try free samples of our award-winning cider and non-alcoholic cider that we produce on the farm. Plus, if you find a cider you love (hard or non-alcoholic) you can purchase a bottle to bring to Thanksgiving celebrations.
DIY Charcuterie Workshop
Why not bring a charcuterie box to your family's Thanksgiving dinner with help from our DIY Charcuterie Workshop with the Nosh Box? On Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 11 am - 1 pm, learn techniques from a local pro, Lizz Backler, and discover how to find the right cheeses, meats, jams, and crunchy bites and how to plate them delicately within your box. This event will focus on fresh, late-season apples, and what snacks pair perfectly with them.
Make-Your-Own Paper: Holiday Shapes
Bring family, friends, and kids to the Make-Your-Own Paper: Holiday Shapes event on November 22, 2024, from 10 am - 11 am. Work alongside local paper maker Mindy Paper and learn all of the tips and tricks on creating new paper pulp and cutting it into fun holiday shapes. This paper is made from blending old notes, shopping lists, junk mail, and dried flowers. Once the paint dries, you can use your new creations for notes, gift tags, and seasonal decorations.
Indoor Family Yoga
Give thanks to movement with our free indoor family yoga event. Krista Maltais, Childlight Yoga Certified Instructor and owner of Relief Parenting Resource and Respite Center in Hampton, NH will teach the concepts of yoga through play. While this event is geared more towards kids ages 3-6 and parents, all are welcome to join. In this class, participants will learn body awareness, improve social-emotional skills, increase their attention span, and engage with caregivers and parents through songs, games, and stories.
